Summer Camp 2024

An Intensive Theater Devising Experience
for students entering grades 6 - 12, fall '24

Our three week camp will present young performers with a unique, challenging, and wide ranging approach to theater performance.  Students will practice and apply acting, movement, improvisation, speech, music, mask, and ensemble work to devise a 35 to 45 minute
Original Theater Production!

Techniques will include dialogue scenes, monologues, poetry, movement, music, mask and shadow work. The text of the play (short tales, myths and poems found in Greek tales and mythology, Shakespeare, American and World Literature) will provide an Original Multi-Discipline Performance.  

Enrollment limited to 20 Students

Tuition $1,000(limited scholarships available)

Dates

Week 1 - July 1 thru 3 

Week 2 - July 8 thru 13 (including Saturday)

Week 3 - July 15 thru 18

Public Performances

July 19 & 20 @ 7pm
(Adults $10 / Students $5)

Students must apply for a place in this intensive camp by April 15th for consideration.  Rising 6th through 12th graders should EMAIL or send completed APPLICATION and MEDICAL RELEASE FORM to Heartwood / PO Box 1115 / Damariscotta / ME / 04543.

No audition is required, but students new to Heartwood are welcome to send
a brief audition tape or a snippet of a performance.
