CAMP 2022

$5/Students and $10/All Adults

Romeo & Juliet - July 8 & 9 @ 7pm

Aladdin, Jr. - July 14 & 15 @ 7pm

Students will receive one on one instruction in speaking, understanding and performing the work of the great Bard. Disciplines include stage combat, language, circus arts, and performance prep. Mastery of Shakespeare creates a solid foundation for all types of theater performance, as students confront beautifully complex poetry that serves deep character motivations.
Students and Instructors will analyze, memorize and perform a cut version of Romeo & Juliet, by William Shakespeare. This performance will feature scenes, soliliquies, stage action and stage combat.
Performing for audiences on the evenings of July 8 & 9.

Broadway performers focus on three major aspects of performance: voice, dance and acting.

 Using Aladdin, Jr. as a vehicle for learning, students will mount this 50 minute Broadway musical for two performances. Three weeks of learning will include voice training, choreography and performance preparation.

Performing for audiences on the evenings of July 14 & 15.

Students may combine BROADWAY with SHAKESPEARE, with permission of the camp director.

Parents and students should recognize that a 9:00 am to 4:30 day is rigorous;
students will be memorizing and performing material from two distinct productions.

 A combined experience means more classes, more instructors, more skills, and more performance time!  Challenging fun, for students with good focus and a strong work ethic.

 Performing for audiences on the evenings of  July 8 & 9, 14 & 15.
