The original 1940s Lux Radio Theater Show adapted from Frank Capra's Movie "It's a Wonderful Life!" performed live as a staged reading by an ensemble of over twenty actors and musicians. Music, live sound effects and great humor make this well-loved holiday story a treat for the entire family.
Telling the story of a big-hearted but desperate George Bailey who, on a Christmas Eve filled with hardship and disappointments, is shown the true value of his own life and his value to others with an angel’s help, this heartwarming play is sure to make the season sparkle. Bringing it all to life is Artistic Director Griff Braley and a large, talented cast of veteran actors to recreate the familiar characters, provide radio sound effects, sing carols, and even spin catchy advertising jingles. This unique holiday experience is brought to you by Homeport Supply of Newcastle, Forgotten Recipes and Dalton Heritage Arts, both located at the Maine Heritage Village, on Route 1 in Wiscasset.
