LCN REVIEW - ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS

“One Man , Two Guvnors” is Flat Out Funny.
By Eleanor Cade Busby

One Man, Two Guvnors is  an English adaptation of Servant of Two Masters, a
1743 Commedia dell'arte style comedy play by the Venetian playwright Carlo Goldoni, adapted
by Richard Bean.

In the Heartwood and Lincoln Academy  version  the story itself, concerning mistaken
identity in glorious Shakespearean tradition, is almost inconsequential.

BOOTHBAY REGISTER REVIEW OF CYRANO

Lisa Kristoff

What will audiences love most about Heartwood's production of “Cyrano de Bergerac”?

The swordplay? The romance? The Renaissance time period? The poetic dialogue? The perfect cast? I say all of this — and more, much more.

LCN REVIEW OF CYRANO

Eleanor Cade Busby

"Cyrano de Bergerac," which opens Thursday at the Poe Theater in Newcastle, is a breath of fresh air.  Often this story is lost under a bulbous red nose and clowning in the lead character, Cyrano, and stereotypical stupidity in the handsome Christian.  Not so in Heartwood's production.

Cyrano - Searching for the Heart

"Cyrano de Bergerac," Brian Hooker translation, opens at Heartwood Theater July 23rd, in the Poe Theater at Lincoln Academy, sporting a bit of everything: drama, romance, tragedy and Commedia dell'Arte.
