Matinee Performance Added for Jekyll & Hyde - Nov. 9

"JEKYLL & HYDE" - ADDED PERFORMANCE NOV 9

"Jekyll & Hyde, the Musical" opened last weekend, in the Poe Theater at Lincoln Academy.  Just as students hit their stride with a sold out house on Saturday evening - the autumnal snow storm caused a cancellation of their second sold out audience, on Sunday.  Heartwood has rescheduled another matinee this Sunday, Nov 9, at 3:00pm, rounding out a full weekend of final performances.

With a challenging musical score and a mammoth physical role for Sam Bailey who plays Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, these 30+ students have put up a show to remember.  The multilevel set, sophisticated lighting, "London fog," beautifully crafted costumes and sculpted orchestra music provide a seamless production concept in which students can succeed, showcasing their weeks of work and skill building.

Four performances and one matinee will be presented in the Poe Theater at Lincoln Academy this weekend: Thurs-Sat, Nov 6-8 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, Nov 9 at 3:00pm.  Tickets are $8 for students, $16 for adults. Seating is unreserved, unless specially requested in advance.

Tickets are going quickly, and sellouts do occur in this space - reservations very strongly recommended: 563-1373 or info@heartwoodtheater.org (please do not contact Lincoln Academy for reservations). For more details, visit www.heartwoodtheater.org.

Many Midcoast businesses have brought this show to life: Heartwood’s Season Sponsor Bath Savings Institution; Season Youth Sponsor Damariscotta Hardware; Intermission Sponsor First Advisors; and Show Sponsors Supplies Unlimited, Chesterfield Associates and Colby & Gale.

Jekyll & Hyde is presented through special arrangement with Music Theater International (MTI).
