STUDENTS REHEARSE FOR "THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE"

HEARTWOOD AND GSB/AOS93 PRESENT “THE LION, THE WITCH & THE WARDROBE”

Nearly 30 Midcoast students from grades 3 to 8 are well into rehearsals for a one-act version of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” by C.S. Lewis, as Heartwood and GSB/AOS93 collaborate on a full scale winter youth production.

Daytime performances for GSB students only, will be given in the Parker Poe Theater at Lincoln Academy on February 6 & 7, with three performances open to the public on February 7th & 8th.

Heartwood’s Artistic Director, Griff Braley, and GSB teacher, Heidi Kopishke, are co-directing this performance, assisted by costumer Sue Ghoreyeb, technical director Tish Munson, and many dedicated volunteer parents.

Students vary notably in age, ability, experience and maturity, but all are committed to rehearsing several times a week and recreating this beloved story, from the world of Narnia.

With 30 students on stage and only three public performances in the Parker Poe Theater, reservations are strongly recommended by contacting Heartwood at 563-1373 OR boxoffice@heartwoodtheater.org OR from the website: www.heartwoodtheater.org.   February 7th at 7pm, February 8th at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.  Tickets are $5/students and $8/adults.  Seating is unreserved.
